OpenSemantics™ is an open specification foridentifying, describing, and interoperating intelligent systems, agents, andtools through structured semantic identifiers and metadata. The specification is stewarded by Cognita AI Inc. and developed with input from the broader technical community.
OpenSemantics is intended to promote interoperability, portability, and transparency across intelligent systems.
OpenSemantics.org was formed in support of Trustworthy AI. It exists to develop and steward open specifications and best practices that make AI agents discoverable, attributable, and accountable across organizational, cloud, and model-provider boundaries — so that the same governance principles applied to other regulated systems can be applied, consistently, to agentic AI.
The community's anchor effort is SADAR — the Semantic Agent Discovery and Authorization Registry — a vendor-neutral specification for agent discovery and authorization that produces end-to-end visibility, attribution, and federation regardless of where agents run or who builds them.
OpenSemantics.org operates under the stewardship of Cognita AI Inc., its founder and funder.
OpenSemantics's work will be organized into Projects - the first of which is SADAR. The licensing within a project is defined by that project on its about page depending upon the specific nature of the project.
OpenSemantics plans to have periodic newsletters and other community resources. In the meantime, connect through our email below.
Contributions are govered by the terms within each project.
